Cowling issue/piano wire migrated aft.

RV7, Sam James cowl. My piano wire has some how migrated aft, past several of the keepers. Has anyone seen this before? Any suggestions how to fish the piano wire forward, to remove the cowl? The piano wire was cut to specs, length wise. Thanks in advance, Ricky

One of the cleanest instals I have ever seen, had the hinge wires inserted and removed from the cockpit side. There was no retainer required at the nose of the cowl. There was lots of room for a positive retainer off the longeron, inside the firewall.

Same issue during phase 1

Sorry I didn't make up a post when this happen to me , I was very lucky in that it was on the starboard side and I was able to push it back out by raeching threw the oil door !
It wasn't an easy task and I did inVision cutting the seam to free up the runaway hinge pin ! Any one who makes up the nice cowl pin covers , be sure to crimp the last aft eyelet in your horizontal hinges
