Place to stay in Central SD

Sadly the RV-10 is not ready to fly yet. I am heading from Michigan to Montana in August for some relief medical work, etc with some indian tribes. Am planning to fly my 56' 172 which makes for a long flight heading west for one day, looking for advice on an airport with decent nearby lodging in central to eastern SD. Any advice/experience?

We have often spent the night in Redwood Falls, MN, when making a similar trip. Not too far from the border with SD. A decent hotel about a half mile from the airport, restaurant across the street open late, good fuel price, and a courtesy van waiting to be used. Good stop.

Yankton (YKN) is good. C/C fuel, self service crew car and several motels to choose from. Pierre (PIR) is good. Mustang Aviation has always gone out of their way for me. Eagle Aviation in Spearfish (SPF) is also good they have always given me a crew car and helped me with whatever I needed.
