If you have a rental car at your disposal the Pima Air & Space museum is a easy drive and only a couple hours away in Tucson. Iíve been to all the major aircraft museums in the US and this one is about the best. And the US military aircraft graveyard (AMARG) is right across the street with thousands of aircraft parked in the desert. Itís quite a sight.

You must have your passport with you to gain admittance to the military base. Trillions of dollars worth of military hardware... very sobering.

Youíll only need the extra ID if you take the bus tour of the airbase thatís only available at the museum if itís not sold out. Check the Pima Air and Space museum website to sign up for that extra experience. If you canít get on the tour you can still drive the perimeter fence and blow your mind with the number of aircraft parked neatly in the desert. Itís a sight to behold.
