Default Landing light

Hello from over the pond
Just a question about the landing light lens has anybody riveted the 1223e bracket onto the lens or just used double sided tape as it says on the plans
Thankyou

Default try waxed cord

I tried using double sticky tape but one of the backing strips fell off ... so I decided to try a different tact which worked out really well.

Find some waxed cord (it can easily be found at arts and craft stores) and loop it through the two center holes on the backing strips and twist it a couple of times (don't tie a knot). The cord will keep the backing strip tight enough to the lens so the outer two screws can be started ... once the outer screws are started, the wax cord is removed.

The following link has photos from my builder blog.

Happy building,
