Default FS - Garmin GDU-370 & 375

Well, I went and did it. I spent a god awful fortune and went with the touch screens. I admit it, I'm a gadget geek...I'm in counseling (not really) and am confident I can be cured (not a chance). These screens have served me well and are frankly as capable as I am. Just today I was flying coupled RNAV and ILS approaches guided by the GTN while watching it all unfold on these screens while listening to XM radio in the background. They are amazing, in as new shape and guilty of nothing more than my craving for the geek gear.

Anyway, Stein tells me $2k is a good deal. PayPal works for me or check, cash, first born child etc. Still installed if you want to see them working. Will be removing shortly as the new gear shows up this week.

Nice panel! I'm hoping to be able to resist the gadget geek impulse and stick with the old-skool GDU370/375 combo, but you never know...

Sorry to hijack - does your non-Garmin LED AOA indicator integrate well with the G3X? Do you feel the G3X screen AOA display is not sufficient? I'm just setting up and am wondering whether to install a stand-alone AOA indicator. If I go for the Garmin GI-260 I'll try to fit it into the panel by way of a custom cutout, but it does take up a lot of valuable real estate...

Thanks for the compliment Martin. The AFS AOA is stand alone. I like the fact that the AOA takes up so little space...and frankly I don't pay much attention to it visually. She is the voice in my ear that tells me when I am close to doing something.....unfortunate. :-)
