tensioning cables

of course i found this out the hard way. to secure the cables when turning the barrel to adjust, use a piece of wire from a 3'' scat tube. about 3/4 full turn. the spring in the wire holds it in place on the cable and a little bend in the ends after it is in place guarantees it won't fall out and it easily moves out of your way while working on it. a piece of coat hanger is way clunky!

I'll keep this in mind when adjusting the cables on my hangar door.
Haven't found a need on any RV I've worked on.
