Stratus 2

Anyone have thoughts on placement of external ads b antenna. I not picking up the ground at altitude (5000ft) no weather or traffic, having the unit on top near the front of the windscreen.

Something is wrong. You should at least see some airborn traffic.

Ext Antenna

I mounted my Stratus 2 in the tray on a ram mount on the seat back channel between the seats pointing back in the baggage area. The ram mount allows it to be leveled on both planes to get proper usage of the synthetic vision.

I then installed the external ADSB antenna suction cups just in front of the center slider canopy bar and ran the cable along the top of the canopy down to under the slider rails back to the Stratus 2. Now have great results.
