Hello everyone, first post....

For those of you using platenuts instead of rivets to fasten the fiberglass tips on the empennage, what size of platenuts do you use and could you guys provide me with a part number for them

K1000-8.
You should never use anything smaller ANYWHERE on your plane as screws will break and strip.

I used -6 nutplates. But then again I'm not a gorilla with a screwdriver.

Same here, I use a dab of beeswax to lube the threads to make inserting and removing easier. Prevents galling on stainless screws too.
