Another question for Sikas users

Wondering where other builders have cut the paint line on the skirts? I have a wide fillet of Sika between the skirt and plexi. (popcycle stick spacers)

Trying to decide if I should cut at the top of skirt and leave a black line of Sika or or continue over the Sika and mask at the plexi, bringing the color to the canopy with no black line. Excuse the poor photo.

Paint Line

I took the paint over the Sika. Over time Sikaflex can be damaged by UV exposure. My canopy and windscreen are held on only by Sikaflex, no rivets throught Plexi at all. Have 80 hours on it now with no issues.

Hadn't considered the UV protection. Thanks for the tip. I was feeling somewhat neglected from lack of responses.

I sent a bunch of photos to your email - did you get them ?

BTW, Sika 295 is designed for prolonged outside exposure and for gluing perspex into boats, so it is very resistant to UV.
