RVTestPilot - how about some specifics?

I like the look of the edge and just replaced the glare shield material two weeks ago but still need to add the edge. I have some edging from one of the aviation interior companies but like the looks of what you have done better.

Here is a link to a page at McMaster Carr that has some seals that look like what is in the picture. It looks like there is a metal core on these which is important so the sharp glare shield edge won't just cut through a rubber seal in an accident.

More information on the process

A few extra pointers

The suiade leather is glued (I like the thickened contact assistive out of a can) down and I leave 3/8" over hang to role over the edge of the sheet metal. Let the glue set over night

When I press the weather strip over the edge of the sheet metal I do not glue The underside of the overhang, this let's the weather stripping material stretch the leather and avoids wrinkles.

The weather strip does come from granger and does have the metal spine.

I've done about 10 rv's this way and thought I would share.
