Default Oil change

First oil change today and a time to change a weeping fitting on the oil cooler which got me to thinking if itís necessary to drain the oil cooler and lines? Not sure how much oil there would actually be there? Does anyone do that?

I've drained the oil cooler and lines a couple of times, but realized that there's not much in there so I quit doing it.

I would only drain if youíre seeing metail in the filter and/or strainer.

The quart or so of old oil will be diluted by all the new oil. Nothing to worry about.
