Antenna experts:
I was looking at the magnetic mount V3 antenna that comes with the MT-RTG package and where a good place to put that on our RV-10 might be. I was wondering if I could let the magnetic base grab part of the assembly where the nose gear leg meets the nose gear support, with the antenna itself running down the nose gear leg, enclosed by the nose leg fairing.
Thoughts? Or does the V3 need a better ground plane?
