Default Garmin GPSMap 296 and Sterba prop

Have gpsmap 296 --- $OLD

Sterba 68 x 72 wood prop, bought here several years ago. Worked well for me once I got enough weight on it. 10lb crush plate from Sabre, 3/8 bolts, spinner and backing plate included. $450 for all local pickup. I suppose I can build a wood box and ship, but I’d sure prefer local pickup or “vans daisy chain” delivery. I think I could carry it if I took the passenger seat out of my -6 but never tried.

I’ll bring it to you for fuel cost and a sandwich within a 3-4 flight of KGXY if I can stuff it in the -6.

Default Maps not remotely current

I believe I loaded the latest (last) software on it when I got it with my plane (2016) but maps havenít been updated since 2008. My iPad mini is mounted in my panel, I keep charts current on it, so I didnít pay to update the 296. I didnít use it really as a nav aid, I used it for awareness, data validation, and driving the autopilot.
