Default Special Delivery

We were going to mail Mom's presents down to South Bend, but the forecast for Saturday looked great and I could take mom to lunch as well!!! It would be a quick trip due to the short daylight, but very doable......

Fog in the Valleys was worth the trip itself!!! Joliet was hard IFR, so I made the bet it would clear before I got there...... I won.......

What's this garbage photo? The pics were good up until now!!......Yours Truly, still thrilled after 12 years and over 2000 hrs!

Had a great lunch with Mom, we caught up on Kids, Dogs, Politics, etc - she is sharp as a tack!

The visit was too short, but the sun was setting, and it was time to get home....

Delivered the presents, great lunch and conversation with Mom, then home in time for dinner. Perfect mission for the garage built contraption and its goofy driver.

Happy Holidays!

Good thing you didn't try yesterday. Heavy fog all day. Vis was 1/4 mile or less at times.

Pete, I'll bet when you were growing up, no one had any trouble recognizing whose kid you were....not if they knew your mom. You really, really look like her!

Boy, I miss flying this route on the way back to new England. It was two years ago I flew the old RV-7A for the final time and haven't flown an RV -- or any other plane -- since. So your pictures are salve for a wound.

Also, shamefully, I haven't visited my mom back east in more than a year.
