I found in multiple threads that a lot of people have been using standard home-depot-type locks for the baggage door. This is fine, but I'm wondering - how do you keep it sealed so water doesn't get into your baggage compartment, for instance when it rains and your plane happens to be tied down somewhere?
I got a couple of these simple locks, and tested dripping a few drops of water into the cylinder from the key hole - sure enough, after a few seconds water was dripping out the bottom (which would be the inside of the door). I see there are some (few) weatherproof cam locks, but they seem pretty bulky.
("always keep it in a hangar" is not a good answer can't have a hangar everywhere you go)
Thanks in advance
