upper intersection fairing securing block thingy broke

I'm referring to the piece of foam/fabric backing that secures the fairing to itself. Anyone know exactly what it is or a fix? Thanks.

Merry Christmas everyone!

For the life of me I can't figure out what part the OP is referring to. Is this model-specific to the RV-10?

My Fairings, Etc intersection fairings have those 'pretend fastener' bases too. They use a couple sheet metal screws to attach the fairing together at the split line. It looks like fiberglass reinforced piece of foam. I can't imagine it lasting very long. I'll remove mine and install a couple nutplates that should last for a long time, which I'm about to do now - good timing on the post. I'll add a couple layers of fiberglass first to strengthen that area.
