breather tube questions

Installed the breather tube. Just to make sure its right, does the bottom end of the tube sit inside and a few inches above the lower cowling. Is a whistle slot recommended (just in case the tube outlet gets blocked) and where is a good location for a whistle slot. Thanks......

lots of options for you...

I personally align it so it drips on the exhaust pipe, helps take care of some oil, rest always makes it on the belly.... With a new engine blow-by is not such a problem, so oil separator yet for this airplane. I have never used a "whistle cut" before in the pipe, but the thinking has its merits for sure. Would have be one solid block to stay put in the event of blockage by.....???? but it can/does happen, usually on planes that have sat for many years and such.
