Hi Scott,
Small world. We have two RV-4s and are going to sell one when our rv-6a is finished. The rv-6a is going to be our cross country plane for the same reasons you listed. Your panel design looks great and is just about what we are doing as well. Those new large screen Dynons are the cats meow!

I've got the -7 preview plans and can't believe the new kits. I keep looking for part dimensions and they don't have many on the plans. Everthing is already drilled so you don't need to measure all that much. I'm really looking forward to this.
