Fairly regularly. Last weekend around Winder, Lawrenceville for the Pancake breakfast at EAA 690, then over to 19A to visit with Tom Shaw and watch one of his students solo. Brings back memories of my first solo in 1986. Sunday was also nice so I got in another hour flying around my daughter Stephanie's "Estate"
. They were out doing their Spring yardwork & waved. I've been preparing for trip to SNF to work in Homebuilt Parking for the 10th year. Shipped tent, air mattress, fan & sleeping bag Fedex to Dan in Dunnellen as my baggage capacity is all of 30#. Made some nifty tie down anchors from some 60T6 3/4 angle aluminum about 18 inches long with a "T" on top so that will save some weight along with 3/8 inch polypropelene rope. I carry a lightweight bag with canopy cover, qt of oil, tiedowns, emergency strobe, spare 9v DNC batteries for the D/C headset, some cheesecloth for canopy & plane wipedown, and spare battery pack for the AvMap Geopilot.
Really looking forward to parking the Mockingbird in "One of a Kind" row in front of Homebuilt Headquarters, so stop by & say "HI". I should be tracked down by anyone on the Volunteer Staff. We understand the East Gate at Homebuilt Parking will NOT be accessable for HB this year
So as I understand it we are using the North gate off of Taxiway Papa, or the West Gate as of this writing. I should be able to provide any updates in the General discussion part of the Forum as they become available.
