Default Stick grips

I have been working on odds and ends while waiting for my prop to be delivered. Thanks to Rick Gray for the help on Whirlwind Propellers.

I purchased a throttle quadrant for my 7A from DJM Manufacturing along with the optional AR-15 pistol grip which I really like. I wanted to continue the AR-15 theme to the control sticks. I made some adapters that go inside the stick tube and into the bottom of the grips. My mill and lathe came in handy here. The pilot stick has a push to talk button and an autopilot disengage button. The autopilot can only be engaged by a switch on the panel. The passenger stick has a push to talk switch. A call to Dayton at DJM had two grip tops in the mail to me. They were modified to accept the switches. The grips are comfortable and ergonomic. Photo credit to my daughter Stacey Nellis.
