My pal Bob Bogash flew his N737G from Port Townsend, WA to Sonoma to get some P-40 time. Go here for a complete pictorial report.

Great pics

Really enjoyed your pictures and story. I fully agree- nothing boring about cross country flying in the -12!

Schellville/Sonoma Airport

I flown into that airport many times. It's just a neat old school airport. And just a quick car ride to Sears Point Raceway.

We've seen the warbirds many times but never pulled the $$$$ trigger to fly one. Maybe I need to wrangle an RV12 . . .

If SFO is not covered in stratus, ask Norcal for the SFO/101 scenic route. Fly over the Golden Gate bridge & Alcatraz prison, then track the west side of the 101 freeway southbound at 1,500'. Very fun and unique.
