Rear slider track on slider?

Are people painting the rear slider track (C-763 & C-0762) on a slider setup? Looks like the paint would wear off quickly and also interfere with the slide-ability of the slider block. Just my thoughts. I guess I could paint C-763, the slide spacer, since the slider block doesn't actually touch the spacer.

Would like to hear your thoughts.

Didn't paint either. I'm thinking polishing, if any, is the right solution here.
