More building?

Getting that elusive pink slip?

Fly more?

Buy an RV?

Go to OSH for the 1st time or 30th time in a row?

What is your aviation goal / resolution for 2013?

Larry, you were reading my mind......
  1. Haul wings back from paint shop
  2. Cast off foot (January 10th)
  3. Final Assembly / Finish FWF
  4. Pink Slip
  5. Phase I
  6. Phase II (Fly More)
  7. IPC
  8. SnF
  9. Fly to Texas, for son's ENJJPT graduation
  10. OSH, RV-10 HQ Camp Scholler (I think this will be my 10th year)

1. To get this @#%^@* project over with and transition to flying! I'm tired of building...there I said it!!! 6+ years of building is a long time (although certainly nowhere close to a record) and I simply want to move on at this point.
2. See #1

Good one!

Good one Larry!

1. Fly more,,, if that is possiable

2. Find more RV Builders that want to fly in 2013.

If you have a kit that is 3 years old you might need to think about bringing it to www.RVCentral.us
I have helped build 41 RVs, several light planes, and 'Shooter'.
If you want to fly next year 2013!! I can get it in the air.

and don't tell me you are out of state, and can't get here. Partain Transport knows my address!
I have had kits here from California, Detroit, Wyoming, Arizona, and Arkansas, all flew home!
three years and it is not done?? bring it here! We will get it flying.

Call me.

Receive Fuselage
Build fuselage
Complete fuselage

BFR
knock the rust off
fly more this year

I have the EXACT same goals!

Fuse is scheduled for delivery at the end of January! And sense I've been putting all of my time and money into the -10, I never got the IFR ticket, so I have a BFR coming up this spring.

Get this

on this
IMG_2846-M.jpg

and finish all of the firewall forward work - cowl, hoses, wiring, exhaust, prop, etc.

I was really on target to get this done before Christmas, but family stuff takes priority over airplane building, and now it will have to wait until after our New Year's vacation.

I still have to cut some holes in my panel and mount the avionics, but everything else is wired up.

Got to get my medical renewed and get acquainted with flying again after 22 years.

Hoping to finish and be flying in 2013, definitely by 2014.

Finish

Just over 5 years and I am ready to paint. So:

1/ Paint
2/ Do the final assembly
3/ check and recheck everything
4/ do some transition training
5/ fly it!

Jim

Most of my goals center around Eagle's Nest:

1. Help at least six students get their SPL or PPL
2. Finish EN-2
3. Have three RV-12s at Oshkosh
4. Sell the Eagle's Nest Navion
5. Plant more projects
6. Help build the organization.

As always, I want to keep the skills I have, and learn a few more.

Bob

Get the windshield glassed in.
Finish the painting
Get plane ready for inspection
Get the airworthiness certificate
Get current so I can pass a BFR
Get transition training
Do my first flight
Fly off the Phase 1
Attend Oshkosh
Help other RV Builders I have met within driving/flying distance to get their planes in the air.

1. PAY VAF DUES AGAIN
2. GET TO 800 HRS ON MY -9, SAFELY
3. LOSE 25 LBS FROM ME, NOT THE PLANE
4. CONTINUE MAKING PROGRESS ON MY BIPLANE PROJECT

Goals

1. Get back to building
2. Look into starting an Eagles nest (or similar) project
3. Fly more
4. Earn a new rating
5. Get podcast episodes out on a regular basis

Get it painted-----------should happen in spring.

Get the rest of the interior finished-------stuff should be here tomorrow from Abby.

Fly more, of course.

Late spring/early summer trip to Monument Valley and general area.

....I am going to try my hardest to be alive at the end of 2013, though it may be rather difficult considering the way I feel today! ----

Fly

I have a beautiful RV-9 project and I am enjoying the build. However every time I get in the Cherokee 140, I long for the performance and technology that will be my RV-9. I think it is time to get the project finished.

If funds hold out and I have a little luck, and maybe some help, I should have it in the air by the end of the year.

Blessings to each of you?

Sell the airplane.
Fly more.

(these two actually work together. I spend a lot of my limited time taking care of the airplane, doing maintenance, making sure it runs every week or two, when I should be focusing on the flying.)

Take the 38 Ford on tour this summer.
Stay healthy.
Hone my craft at work.
Live in the moment more.

Cheers

  1. Haul wings back from paint shop

  3. Final Assembly / Finish FWF
  4. Pink Slip
  5. Phase I
  6. Phase II (Fly More)
  7. IPC
  8. SnF
  9. Fly to Texas, for son's ENJJPT graduation
  10. OSH, RV-10 HQ Camp Scholler (I think this will be my 10th year)
bob

You have a son at ENJJPT? I graduated from there back in May '11. When is his assignment night?

Not in order, here they are --

1. Continue working on my RV-3B project.

2. Spend too much time on VAF, just like this year, so you'll need to make your contributions like a lot of us did.

3. Fly more.

If I do as well with these as I did last year, it'll be great. Last year's goals were to decide upon a homebuilt kit and start. Done, with the RV-3B in progress. And to bake all my bread this year. None of that store-bought stuff. One more loaf and this one, too, will be done - loaf bread, bagels, baguettes. Just like building an airplane but quicker gratification.

Dave

1. Stop waiting around for the next groovy thing to add to my plane, enough already!

Ambitious I know but I have to get on this as it is going to be in the air for 2014. Wish me luck guys and gals, will keep you posted.
