"Piggyback" audio input into PMA8000B?

RONSIM

Well Known Member
I need to hook up my AFS Sport AOA audio (pin 25, 560ohm impedance) -- "angle, angle, push, push, etc.!" --I have a PMA8000B audio panel that has five "unswitched" audio input pins, that are all dedicated ---- Question: is it possible to piggyback an audio output from the AOA onto one of the existing audio panel pins?

Yes. At the end of the aoa wire attach a 220 or 330 ohm resistor. Do the same to the current wire going to the chosen input on the audio panel. Then tie the two open resistor ends together, crimp on a pin, and insert it into the audio panel input. Each one may be a bit less loud than before.
