Dumb question about switch lights

Okay so my RV-9A has these lighted rocker switches

Which, based on the builder's log (which is still available on the web! truly a bonus!!) I believe to be Honeywell products. Several of them have burned out lights. I've obtained what I think are the correct bulbs, based again on the builder's website:

Here's my dumb question: do you just sort of pop the caps off to change the bulbs, or is there some more involved procedure?

Yes, they are Honeywell AML switches and the white rockers come off to reveal the lamp inside. Here are a couple of links that might help:

Honeywell AML

Those are indeed AML switches. There's a small depression in the end of the switch operator that you can get a fingernail into to pull the operator off. Just push to snap them back on. To remove the bulb, gently pull the metal tab which will push the bulb's base out of it's receptacle in the switch body. The switches will take a generic miniature wedge base bulb which should cost about $0.35 a piece. Allied seems very proud of their own ones at four bucks a pop! If you want to go the LED route instead, the equivalent lamps can be purchased online by searching for T 1-3/4 wedge base LED. Most of the LEDs I've found are a harsh bright white in the 5000K range. I find these a little hard on the eyes in the cockpit.
