Question regarding Oxygen tank mounts

All:

I plan to install mounts for my Mountain High oxygen tank on my RV-14A. My current idea is to mount them to the forward baggage side cover on the co-pilot side which should make it easy to reach the valve/regulator from the pilot seat.

My thought is that I will fabricate a doubler behind the cover for each of the two mounts (metal bands with quick release mounts, each with 4 screws) using countersunk nutplates.

I'm looking for thoughts on this idea and other suggestions - in particular should I beef it up even more, use nutplates to mount the side cover itself (it mounts using LP-3 blind rivets), and/or use stiffeners in addition to doublers.

Gajillions of posts on this...search the fora, you'll find lots of info.

These brackets come with all the hardware you need. If the weight of the bottle rests on the floor, no need for additional stiffeners. One bracket should suffice. Or a simple stiffener plate behind the bolts or larger washers for piece of mind...
