iEFIS Lite control of V6

I am working on my first avionics install and have encountered a problem that I have been unable to solve.

I can't control the V6 from iEFIS. V6 is working properly stand alone and so is iEFIS. I have verfied that TX to RX wiring on all RS232 ports is correct. Everything has power and is grounded as per wiring diagrams.

iEFIS RS232 Port 1 goes to VPX Sport
iEFIS RS232Port 2 goes to extender
iEFIS/Extender RS232 Port 3 goes to V6 RS232 Port 1
Extender and COM1 are enabled on iEFIS

Any input is greatly appreciated.

I have installed iEFIS Lite (latest firmware updated)
Extender module
V6

I can't find any settings on the V6 to allow remote access.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't used the extender yet, but maybe try the #1 RS port on the V6. Are your other RS outputs working?

IEFIS lite v6 control

SEems to me that I had to switch ports around because some are high speed.
Pick a non reserved port between 3&5 tx-Rx ,Rx-tx no setting in V6 that I recall

Problem Solved.

I was so focused on TX to RX on all of my RS232 connections that I made rookie mistake.

I was treating the extender as a device that the iEFIS "communicates " with. However, the extender is just an extension of the iEFIS. When I realized the problem, I connected the TX wire from iEFIS to TX on extender (same for RX), and now everything works properly.
