Transponder doubler

Is a doubler necessary or optional for the transponder location under right baggage compartment? Plans included one for com 1 and 2. Inclined to not worry about it.

For the antennas that are directly underneath the baggage area, I chose not to include doublers, when I installed my ADS-B receiver antennas.

I reasoned (perhaps incorrectly, after all it's 0.025" skin), that they are blade antennas with a small profile...

Unlike the two communications antennas up front, which do have doublers on 0.04" skin.

I did put a doubler on the big Garmin GPS antenna (the doubler template can be found in that link)?

I also built and installed a doubler for the GPS antenna on top. I installed it with the small head rivets with a slight countersink in the skin to avoid having to dimple. Usually I use those NAS rivets for nutplates. Worked out great.
