Installing a light kit on a built R-12

I'm looking at a used R-12 that doesn't have external lights. I believe the light kit from Van's is ~$1,200. How difficult is it to install. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

The biggest factor will be whether the builder installed the snap bushings in the wing ribs and routed pull strings through the wings and tied them off for use pulling wings through (as prescribed in the KAI).

If that was done, the install isn't difficult, just time consuming.

That is the more difficult question to answer..... a lot of people built their RV-12 in the estimated 800-900 hrs, but some say it took them 1500 or more.

Rough estimate - 15 to 30 hrs.
