Installing Shower of Sparks for my Bendix mags

Hello, I have searched the forum and only had one account of where to install the "Shower of Sparks" box in my RV 7, it was inside on the sub panel.

Where have you installed your "Shower of Sparks" box? I want to install inside the plane for the sake of keeping it dry and also out of the heat of the firewall install.

I have chosen this as i sourced a good buy out of ebay the part arrived and it is like new. Have any of you tried the Slick Start system? I was going to do that but it is costly here in Canada at 1100 CDN.

Dave, have you seen the G3i ignition for the Slick mags?

I have it and like it. You can mount everything on the hot side of the firewall. Mine is at the very top. It fits quite well actually.

If it helps, I have -8 not a -7, mounted mine on the firewall and never had an issue in 700 hours of flying.

Mounted it on firewall just above the brake outlet on the pilots side.
