Default What is the size of the engine crate?

ABF finally located my engine and will deliver it Monday. The delay has created a problem because now the airport is putting slurry seal around the hangers and I can't get in. ABF will not deliver to my house without Van's approval. Rather than wait, I will just have them deliver it to the airport, and off load it. Will the crate fit in the back of a small pick up, or will I need something bigger. Van's has dimensions for the other kits, but not the engine. Thanks

Default Engine crate size

I had considered driving to Oregon in my Jeep Wrangler to pick up the engine, so I inquired to Van's about size. Here is what they replied:

73 x40 x28 and (per a carrier) 352-lbs.

So I won't be doing it myself but will use BAF I guess. Delivery expected about mid-December.

I have a full size Dodge short bed and the engine kit box fit in the back with the tail gate shut. Pretty sure you'll be fine, with the tail gate down.
