Great milestone this week-end!

EIS got power!!!



Wiring goes slow, but it goes. You do a bunch of work on this, but see little apparent progress. It is nice to see the display come to life.

And in celebration of the anniversary of the lunar landing, I ordered my Skyview display today. Funny to note that this single panel has more computing power than existed for the entire mission to the moon.

Great! And no smoke visible in photo. I had a similar warm fuzzy moment when I put a 9-volt across the leads of my elevator trim servo and watched it power through its range of motion.

Interesting point about the Skyview…I've heard that a Furby (remember those?) has more computing power than the Apollo 11 lunar module. We have come a LONG way!

We all know that all modern electronic devices run on smoke.

If the smoke gets out, the device stops working.
