High CHT

I recently began flight testing my RV-7. Since my engine is new (superior XP-360) I have tried to be diligent about adhering to break-in procedure. However, from the start I have noticed that cylinders 1 and 2 (forward two) run 30 to 40 degrees warmer (CHT) than 3 and 4. I now have 13 tach hours on the engine. Is it accepted protocol in a case like mine to simply trim some off the air dams at the front?

Thank you

Yes. I ended up removing mine completely. Then in the winter I add some foil tape as needed, to balance the cylinders.
