I built this for aFriend who was having trouble backing his RV-7 into his Hanger .
When you push down with the handle it lifts the wheel up off the ground and now steers with the Caddy Wheels . Very Easy to use and steer because the caddy wheels are in trail !
I built it out of electrical conduit , welded together and cheep wheels . It grabs the axle on the frt. Wheel same as any tow bar .
I did not invent this , I coppied and modified it . :)
If you can weld you can build one too .
I am just showing what else is out there .

Interesting!

I would like to see a close-up pic of how the caddy is made. I would also like to know how much force is needed to raise the wheel off the ground and about how high you usually raise it.
I have a unique problem in that the tail of my 7A is about 4 inches higher than the opening of my hangar door. I modified a hydraulic motorcycle lift to raise the nose and pull the plane out of the hangar. I must say that it works very well, but I'm always up for something more simple.

Thanks!
