I do not have passenger brakes and I would like to be able to easily remove and reinstall the passenger rudder pedals to make it a bit more comfortable for non flying passengers with long legs.
Has anyone done this? I am envisaging cutting off both the pedals an inch or so below the vertical brace where the upper end of the pedals are welded to the cross bar then welding/riveting a short length of tube with the same ID as the OD of the pedal tube onto the cut off ends of the pedals ( 4 places ). The pedals could then be slid up over the stubs left after cutting and be secured with an AN3 bolt (4 bolts - 2 per pedal).
Thoughts/comments??
