Default Elevator 09-07 Step 5 Match Drilling

Morning All-

On 09-07 step 5, I知 supposed to match drill #40 through the trim tab spar into the trim tab hinge. However, my E-01405 spar only has #30 holes. I致e looked forward in the plans and confirmed that I値l be installing 3-3.5s in those dimpled holes later on, so I知 confused. Am I missing something? Am I supposed to do my best and just drill #40 using the #30 holes as the reference?

Thanks.

Default E-01405 spar

My E-01405 spar was drilled #40 per the plans, and I just double-checked that the rivets I used for that step are indeed AD3-4 (Pg 09-14, step 5). If your spar was drilled #30, you probably need to contact Van's.

If so the easy fix might be to match-drill #30 and use size 4 rivets. But definitely check with Van's.
