Oil cooler fittings

I'm trying to mount my oil cooler on the left front cooling baffle. I'm finding that the 90 degree AN fittings I have on the cooler interfere with the lower cowling. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what fittings might work there? Anyone else have their cooler mounted on the front baffle? How did you route your oil hoses and make the connection so that nothing got interfered with?

I have mounted coolers on the left front baffle of a 4, 6A and 9A. On all instalations I used hydraulic fittings from a commercial supply shop rather than aircraft ones. They seem to fit better.
I use a 90 degree fitting on both cooler holes and a 90 degree end on the hose that attaches to the inboard fitting ( giving 180 degrees of turn )
I route both hoses by the starter under the cylinders and on top of the intake induction tubes.
