RV-6 Checklist

BSRV6

I'm New Here
I'm looking for a checklist for a RV6. Looking for a pre-flight, emergency fire and emergency engine failure, before landing, after landing, and shutdown checklists. Also, anything else that anyone might think of. I will be doing a check ride for my private in the near future and would like to have something to show the examiner. Thanks so much for the help!

Welcome to VAF!

Search is your friend, plug in CHECKLIST first, then POH and start clicking and reading. For instance, here's a thread that even I posted in, so it must be good! :D

Good luck on your PPL!

The checklists you referenced need to be specific to your RV-6 because each -6 is built and equipped differently. Somebody else's checklist may give you a starting point for developing your own checklists, but I doubt if your check pilot would be very impressed with checklists that are not applicable to your aircraft. If you want generic checklists they are available at vendors such as Sportys.

Best wishes for a great checkride and congratulations in advance on your new ticket!

Go to the homepage, click on poh's in the left column, click on the third rv6/6a in the list, scroll down and all the basic checklist and procedures are listed in the poh. I adapted this one for my plane.

RV6A checklist

This is my checklist. It is a work in progress. It is customized for my plane. Yours is almost for sure different, especially the avionics and electrics. It was formatted so as to print double sided and then trim to 5x7 and laminate. The appropriate emer. items were in RED Send me an email and I will send you the Word.doc file.
