Experimental Cylinders?

Does anyone make experimental cylinders?

I am kicking around the idea of doing a top overhaul on my O360-A3A with some 9:1 pistons and would like to know if anyone sells new cylinders with 9:1 pistons?

Thanks,
D

You can put it together.

Few years ago, we did an OH on 0-360A1A and used new Lycoming cylinders and had them delivered to Lycon in California. Lycon did there porting process on them.
Also installed 9.1 pistons from https://combustech.com/pages/piston-specs
Engine notably stronger! Combustion Tech is in Virginia but ships.
We have 500hrs on OH and still happy. You can sell the 8.5 pistions that come with the new cylinders.

Dumb questions... do I need to port the new cylinders if I upgrade to 9:1 pistons?

Lycon can also provide a cam that is better suited to your compression ratio. Port and polish helps with mixture distribution. Triple grind on the valve seats, they say, adds another 5 HP.
