Had a nice local flight yesterday with smooth as glass air. Temperature inversion kept it hot down low so climbed to 8500 feet to escape the heat.

Looking west toward Point Conception, where the east-west coastline of So Cal changes to north-south:

I had a controller call traffic for me on my ghost image from santabarbara to santa monica; he was embarassed when he realized.
Always love the view of the islands from there. Thanks for sharing.

I hear you Erich. Though not Santa Barbara, my backyard has a lot of attractions. We had several hours break between rolling TRFs the other day boy that was intense. The airspace was swarmed I don't envy our ATC we were all over everywhere :)
