FWF Kit Order for XP-360

Ok, I searched and searched the archives before I posted this - so don't shoot me if I'm being redundant. It seems to me this would've been asked/answered before.

I'm about to order my FWF kit from Van's and was wondering what I should keep and what I should leave out.

I have a Superior XP-360 B1CD2 engine; 1 mag, 1 Plasma III. That's Superior's 180HP IO-360, horizontal "cold" induction, constant speed, fuel injected.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just ordered my firewall forward kit for an RV-8. I am using an XP IO-360 nearly identical to yours except I have two mags.

From what I have been told, the only required change is replacement of the standard exhaust with the special Superior exhaust. I also substituted the plane power alternator for the standard alternator.

After I get the installation done I will let you know how it all worked out!

You know - things like this I'm spring loaded to the "call Van's" position. But they were uncharacteristically un helpful. Even dis interested, I'd say. And I gave it two runs - thinking I'd just gotten one guy (I'll withold his name) on a bad day.

FYI

When I ordered my FWF kit I deleted the following items.

1. 1.000 ES ALTERNATOR 60A ALTERNATOR & BOSS MNT - Upgraded to the new delux alternator

2. 1.000 IE VMP INSTALL KIT FITTINGS/HOSES - This kit places the MAP hose behind the firewall. My Pmags and MAP sensor both require to tap into the MAP line. I am working on an alternate install.

3. 1.000 VENT TG-10 CABIN HEAT SELECTOR - Installing a stainless steel version.

4. 1.000 VENT DL-05 1 3/4 EXH HEAT MUFF & 1.000 EA EXH 8 IO-360M RV-8 180HP EXHAUST - Ordered an exhaust system from Vetterman with mufflers.
