Default Sl60 for sale

I have just removed my SL 70 for an ADSB upgrade using Skyview remote transponder and GPS 2020 antenna. All works well now. I have been using a SL30 as my "approved" IFR VOR/ILS nav source and only radio. Will a SL 60 fit the same height slot in the panel? Can it feed info to the Skyview and be used for DME when required for ILS or VOR approaches? How much hassle for data upgrades? I could file /g but obviously can't do GPS approaches. Right?

The SL60 is the same size as the SL70, it's an approved TSO-C129 GPS which can be used for enroute and terminal operation.

Don't know about database upgrades, it should be able to feed the Dynon but you may want check with them to be sure. Yes you could file /G, not approach approved.

Default No SL60 updates

There are no longer updates available for the SL60. They stopped support over two years ago.

That's really annoying. I hate when manufacturers do that.

Unless they go out of business, if they are updating their other GPS units, they should continue to offer database updates if you have the hardware and it's simply software.

I was thinking of purchasing this myself until I saw that. Heck, even King is still supporting their 1990 KLN-89 units with databases!

Sorry for the thread hijack. Just annoys me.
