Default Dynon heated pitot install

Well after 2 year hiatus (move, new house, baby, deployment)
I am slowly starting back to work.....

I have the heated dynon pitot with AOA, and the gretz Mount,
Gretz/dynon recommendation is install near the inspection panel for later MX.
The standard vans location is further outboard. Gretz also stages “not too close to tie down” a little vauge.
What has this set up ?
Where was your install location?
Does it work there or “I wish I would have...”

Picture would also help

Thank you!!

Joe

Installed mine this morning on qb wings, had the same questions. What I did as have many was to place it by the rib just outboard of the further outboard inspection panel . This keeps it clear of the aileron bell crank, although it is still close to tie down, one rib outboard. Putting the heat controller on back of inspection panel. Hope this helps. Pete

I did similar to Kiwi. Installed in the outboard bay adjacent to the furthest bay with inspection panel. I installed on the outboard rib if that bay. I feel this is adequately far from the tie down, though not optimum. Didn't want it too far from access.

I have installed several on the inspection panel. Never had a problem, altough it is close to the tie down.

Same as Jan on the last 4 RV-10's.
Easy access for future maintenance.
