Default Todd's Canopy initial fitup.

Finally getting around to the canopy after several years of off and on building. Father time is catching up with me. I have read that Van's canopies have lines marked (not to exceed) so to speak. I have one from Todd's and no lines. So what has been the process of those who have a Todd's canopy? Also opinions of 3M 5200 vs Sikaflex would be welcomed.

Thanks
jmk

Default Small steps...

I too installed a Todd’s canopy.....biggest mistake of the build....skirts will not fit and I spent too much time on it.

I cut the canopy in small increments until it fit the frame and. Had about an inch over lap.

No experience except with Sika...no issues there.

If you are skilled with fibreglass, you should be alright.

Nibble on the Todd’s with narrow cuts. Work it down, it will arrive where it belongs and fit well. Sika in place. Really no more difficult then any other process in the build.

I installed the Todd canopy and it was a learning experience, just like the rest of the build. I documented my progress in KitLogPro as I learned. Here are the logs for the canopy fitting and the skirt fittings.

Hope this is helpful in some way.
