Love the speed of my RV-8!

It's no -8 but...

I also continue to be amazed at the efficiency of my RV-9A. It's got the same engine as my trusty Warrior did (carbureted O-320), but cruises 40% faster on a slightly lower fuel burn.

And the climb performance. Wow.

Flew from S. FL (home of the perpetual TFR) to Atlanta last Wed. 8500ft, 180 Knots ground speed - 181KTAS. @ 8.9GPH = 20.3NM/Gal. 2310RPM / 22.9" MP

As a new RV pilot, I REALLY appreciate the performance of this plane. What a great Kit!

Since the airplane is new to you, perhaps it would be best to fly a NTPS 3-leg calibration run and check that EFIS TAS indication.
