Looking for a good engine guy in Moses Lake, WA

Kevin Horton

Well Known Member
We're recently moved to Moses Lake, WA. Now I need to find a good engine guy or gal to help me remove, inspect and repair the #4 cylinder, which has low compression with significant blow by.

Recommendations for good engine person in the Moses Lake area are appreciated.

Thanks,

I can't answer your question directly, but you may be aware that Big Bend Community College at Grant County Airport has an Aviation Maintenance Program. They may be able to provide some contacts in the area.

Good luck on the repair. Please let us know what you think caused the problem.

Thanks Carl - I was aware that Big Bend had a large fleet of training aircraft, so I knew they must have A&Ps on staff. I wasn't aware of their Aviation Maintenance Program. If I don't get any leads in a day or two, I'll drop by Big Bend, and attempt to learn if they have any experienced A&Ps who moonlight in the evening or weekends.

Of course, I am mindful of the old adage "Those who can't do, teach". I'd prefer to track down an experienced, active, well respected A&P, if I can find such a person locally.
