O320-A3C ?

depends eh!?

I believe this is what I have now, an A3A....converted to straight riser intake sump...making it an A3B.
......do you plan to use a C/s prop? I like that it can run low octane fuel. :)

sorry about the formatting. go to

Straight Riser

I was told a straight riser wouldn't work in a 9A because of the mount interference. You have a straight riser sump installed OK?
Gary

Sump

So if I read the chart correctly it will fit a 9A without changing the sump.

It is a plus that it will take a constant speed prop.

At 7:1 I would feed it Mogas !

need some experts to respond

as i understand it the curved riser tubes get in the way of the mount; the straight has them more forward...but don't quote me on the semantics.
Get an engine guy to verify.
also you want to know if the plug is in the (hollow) crank before you hang a C/S prop on it, and can't get oil to it!
ditto the expert required.

B1B Straight Riser

Still not certain if a B1B will fit in the 9A. If the straight riser oil sump is the problem, how difficult and expensive is it to change? Any expert advise out there?

For an "A" model RV, the straight riser sump is the one you need.

I already replied to the other thread you started HERE
