Able to use Comant 121 VHF Antenna on Bottom?

I recently picked up two Comant 121 antennas as a package deal. These are the angled antennas not the bent version. I plan to use one on top behind the FG and was wondering if anyone has placed a Comant 121 on the bottom and if so where.

Looks like it will extend 19" below the mounting surface?

I think the only place it would have adequate ground clear and would be behind the rear baggage wall, but that ground clearance would go away at rotate and flare. I don?t think it will work on the bottom.

I concur with Jesse.

Would it work under the pilot seat? If it's towards the center it would still be far enough away from the gear legs.

Rotate and flare would not affect clearance.

I use a 121 under the seat (just aft of the spar) in my 7, plenty of ground clearance and works better than the bent whip.
