Great picture. That is probably the best installation picture I have seen for both the piano hinge and Archer nav antenna together. I plan to follow suit on the RV-14 when I get to that point. Thanks again.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. My archer antenna is on the inside and here is the outside one tip done.

I have to say that working with the acrylic light cover is tough. It cuts easy with shears but finish sanding is a bear.

Instead of finish sanding the acrylic, just scrape with a single edge razor blade.

How did y’all handle the wing tip rib installation on the w-1015-l/r part? I didn’t take that into account so now the hinge extends into that area. I suppose I can trim some hinge as a spacer to put under it or better trim the part to just be where the hinge isn’t?

I swapped the left and right tip ribs and modified the flange to accommodate the hinge. You can view some of the details at this link:

I think I will cheat it forward a bit and put a length of hinge on either side as a spacer. I will cut the loops off the spacers if I do that. Your way is good too though and I might have to change my mind because it puts the part in exactly the right place. But with the hinge spacer I think it moves it negligibly forward.

After sleeping on it I like your solution better. Will build it up tonight.
