Holes in Panel Frame Assembly

Does anyone know if the two holes, one on each side serve a purpose? It doesn't look like on the prototype that any screws or anything else go through them. Just wondering for panel layout. Thanks.

Depends.....

If a builder finishes the panel as designed, those two holes are where the pilot and copilot cabin heat controls mount. The panel sections will have a small notch that fits around the control. This allows removal of the panel without having to disconnect and remove the heat control(s).

Thanks Scott. I was curious because the prototype doesn't have that. Makes sense.
